Meet the Founder
Shrey Shah is the founder of Dutchtown Hands of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving back to the Louisiana community through education, mentorship, and service. Passionate about fostering opportunity and inspiring future generations, Shrey started the organization to address educational disparities and provide engaging learning experiences for local youth.
The Founder's Story
Shrey's journey to founding Dutchtown Hands of Hope was rooted in a deep connection to the Louisiana community and a firsthand understanding of the educational gaps many young people face. Rather than watch these disparities persist, Shrey brought together resources, mentors, and hands-on programming to give local youth the support and opportunities they deserve. What began as a personal commitment to service has grown into an organization dedicated to creating lasting, positive change for the next generation.
Leadership
As the driving force behind Dutchtown Hands of Hope, Shrey leads with a hands-on, community-first approach, building partnerships with local libraries, schools, and organizations to develop programs and working directly with local youth to ensure the organization's mission translates into real impact. Under Shrey's leadership, Dutchtown Hands of Hope continues to grow as a trusted resource for education and mentorship in the Ascension Parish community, guided by the belief that every young person deserves the chance to succeed.
